Area Designer by HOKUYO Automatic Co., Ltd. is a PC-based configuration and maintenance tool for compatible HOKUYO safety laser scanners. It streamlines commissioning by letting you design, visualize, validate, and deploy protection and warning zones with a clear, interactive interface.

Key capabilities:

• Graphical zone editor: Create and fine-tune protection and warning fields, define multiple area patterns for zone switching, and visualize coverage around your equipment.
• Device connection and management: Connect to supported HOKUYO safety laser scanners (such as the UAM series) via USB or Ethernet, read/write parameters, and manage device access.
